Youth team of Estonia defeated Greece with a one-goal advantage, after having stiff competition with their rivals.
Estonia took the 9th position, whereas Greece remained in the 10th one. Estonia could not lead by so many goals to feel at ease during the match. Greece managed to level the score once in the first half and five times in the second one.
The titles of best players from both teams were given to Timmo, with seven goals, and Tzimpoulas with nine goals.
Alfred Timmo (Estonia, LB): We had a great fight against Greece. I think the most difficult part in this match was scoring goals and another difficult part was the second half where we continued to fight and we could have scored so many goals. Also we had great defence today. Our second option goalkeeper Rene Vahu did a great job. We had a great team, great coach. I would give my team a nine and a half.
Grigorios Tzimpoulas (Greece, LW): We aren’t satisfied with our game today, because we lost the last match and we are going to go to Greece with a loss. The fast break is a strong part of our team, but we didn’t do a lot of it in this tournament and our defence is good too. I would rate todays’ game with a 5 out of 10. The championship had a great quality and some very strong teams.
